Okorocha plots to destroy APC before dumping the party – Uzodinma

Senator Hope Uzodinma, have accused former governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, of plotting to destroy the All Progressives Congress APC, in the state before dumping the party for another party.

Uzodinma made the accusation on Friday, in reaction to an earlier attack from Okorocha on Thursday, where Okorocha accused the governor of working against the interest of the party.

Okorocha, speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemodo, lamented that the APC was “no longer breathing” in Imo State, under the leadership of Hope Uzodinma as governor.

Responding, Uzodinma’s Senior Special Assistant on Print Media, Modestus Nwamkpa, described the former governor and Senator representing the governor’s zone, as a “sinking man.”

Nwamkpa claimed that Okorocha was not happy, that the APC under the leadership of Uzodinma, had gained ground in the South-East, claiming that Uzodinma’s performance, was responsible for the defection of the Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi, to the APC.

In his words, Nwamkpa said, “Okorocha is a sinking man. He is an internally displaced politician. He is angry that under Governor Hope Uzodinma, the APC is gaining ground in the South-East, including the defection of Governor Dave Umahi to the party.

“I am aware that Okorocha wants to leave the APC, and his plan is to destroy the party before he joins another party. But we will not let him have his way.”

Nwamkpa called on the former governor, to leave the APC quietly rather than making false claims against Uzodinma.
