Umeadi Suit: Ihedioha may still not become governor immediately Uzodinma is sacked

Despite high anticipation for an automatic handover of power to Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, if the Philip Umeadi suit, succeeds in sacking Senator Hope Uzodinma, there is the likelihood that Ihedioha may not be automatically declared governor by the Supreme Court.

Reaction to an article by Maazi Obinna Akuwudike on Maazi, Mr. Chuks Amuka was of the view, that the best outcome, should Uzodinma be sacked, would be for the court to call for fresh Elections, and bar Uzodinma from participating.

In his reaction, Amuka stated:

“even though uzodimma assumption of power is riddled with lots of questions mark, ihedioha will not return as Govenror , it’s not among the prayers sort by Barr umeadi , all he wants is the supreme Court interpret it’s judgement, on how uzodimma became gov without a platform, the best scenerio in all these, is to conduct new election in imo where Mr uzodimma will be barred from participating.”

If Amuka’s opinion is anything to go by, all may not be uhuru for Ihedioha, even if Uzodinma is sacked.
