The leadership of the All Progressives Congress in Imo state that is loyal to senators Rochas Okorocha and Ifeanyi Araraume, has said that it would wait for the outcome of its suit against the national leadership of the party before it would decide to take part or not in the on going reregistration and revalidation exercise of the party membership.

The state chairman, Dan Nwafor, told our correspondent that himself and his executive had filed a suit against the party.

According to him, any exercise of the party in the state which his leadership did not supervise was illegal.

According to him, several court judgments had affirmed him as the authentic chairman of party in the state.

He said that the national leadership of the party ought to carry out the registration and revalidation exercise in the state through him, knowing fully well that he was the authentic state chairman of the party.

He said” we are waiting for the court to hear our application for injunction which hopefully will be heard next week.”
