No power will stop Okorocha from becoming Nigeria’s next president- ex Imo Commissioner

Chidiebube Okeoma, Owerri

A former Commissioner for Youths and Sports in Imo state, Kenneth Emelu, has said that ” no power will stop” a former governor of the State, Rochas Okorocha, from succeeding Muhammadu Buhari, as president.

Emelu, who spoke when a crowd of supporters visited Okorocha at his Spibat mansion in Owerri, said ” no power in Africa, even in the world” will stop a man whose time has come.

He expressed optimism that Okorocha who now represents Imo West at the Senate would emerge the next president of the country.

The ex commissioner said that the on going political fight between Okorocha and the governor of the state, Hope Uzodinma, was because” plenty groups have been urging you to declare for the president of this country.”

Emelu said ” No power in Africa even in the world will stop a man whose time has come. By the grace of God you are the next president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This fight is because plenty groups have been asking you to declare for president. But no power will stop you from becoming the next president of Nigeria. It is on record that you are the only person from the South East people are asking to declare for president.”

The ex Commissioner said that Okorocha’s enviable records while he was the governor of the State had positioned him as the best person to succeed Buhari.

Responding, Okorocha said that the clash on Sunday at Royal Spring Palm Estate was ” thuggery by governor Hope Uzodinma taken too far.”

Okorocha said ” I am a man of peace but my peaceful nature should not be taken for granted. I was the most abused governor but I never used the instruments of power against anybody.”
