Uche Ogbuagu’s Federal ambition suffers setback, as OCDA boss is fingered in his sack
Information reaching MaaziTV, has revealed that the sack of Uche Ogbuagu, the State Assembly member representing Ikeduru State Constituency, as the Majority Leader of the Imo State House of Assembly, is not unconnected his his ambition to go to the National Assembly, in 2023.
Ogbuagu has shown interest in contesting against the incumbent, Rt Hon Henry Nwawuba of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, and have sponsored several attacks against Nwawuba, including arresting Nwawuba’s aide, Mr. Isidore Chukwuemeka.
However Ogbuagu’s ambition seems to have hit a brick wall, as the OCDA boss, Innocent Ikpamezie, is also said to be eyeing the same seat.
Ikpamezie is a very close associate to Senator Hope Uzodinma, famous for being arrested and arraigned on National TV, for manipulating election results for Uzodinma, during the APC primaries in 2018.
Uzodinma rewarded him with the OCDA position, a position that comes with a lot of benefits.
Ikpamezie at a meeting at the residence of Imo APC Party chairman, Marcon Nlemigbo, had boosted that he is amongst the 5 people who are close to Uzodinma politically, and has the ear of the governor.
As Ogbuagu’s crimes for his removal as Majority Leader, are listed amongst others, as his disregard of constituted authority in the house, as well as his alleged disrespect to the leadership of the house, his supposed reckless ambition, is fingered as one of the main reasons for his removal.
Ogbuagu won the Ikeduru seat on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, with the help of former Governor Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, but fell out with Ihedioha, when Ihedioha allegedly failed to back his ambition to become Deputy Speaker.
Uzodinma rewarded Ogbuagu’s disloyalty to Ihedioha, by making his the Majority Leader of the State Assembly, but that was upturned today, the 4th of March 2021, with his removal.
Ogbuagu is yet to reach, but popular social commenter, Citizen Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha, has warned Imolites to disregard Ogbuagu, if he runs to his private radio station to attack the Uzodinma government, like he did to Ihedioha.
