Senator Hope Uzodinma have come forward to allege, that his predecessor, and Senator representing Orlu Zone, Senator Rochas Okorocha, had begged hm to turn a blind eye on his misdeeds when he was in office.

Uzodinma stated that it was his refusal to cover up Okorocha’s misdeeds, that resulted in Okorocha’s resolve to fight his government.

Hope Uzodimma, made this known, in a statement signed by his Media Adviser and Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Oguwike Nwachuku, stated that Okorocha confirmed that he begged him, in a recent interview he granted journalists in Abuja.

He accused Okorocha of speaking like someone who had already left the All Progressives Congress, during his discussion with journalists, but confessed that his problem with Uzodimma is because of Uzodinma’s refusal to help him cover all the illegalities he allegedly committee when he was governor of Imo State for eight years.

Uzodinma further accused Okorocha, of looking for ways to undermine the APC and the Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal government.

Uzodinma accused Okorocha of descending on the Presidency, claiming that President Muhammadu Buhari did not have clue to finding the solution to the security situation in the country.

Uzodinma accused Okorocha of attacking the leadership of the APC, by alleging that the party leadership conspired to withhold his result and certificate of return and also claimed that Okorocha accused the party Leadership of outsourcing the party to party members Okorocha termed as “outsiders”.

The statement pointed out that Hop Uzodinma, had on several occasions accused Okorocha of fighting his government and causing trouble in the State, because he (Uzodinma) refused to do his bidding by disbanding all the judicial panels of inquiries investigating Okorocha, which he (Uzodinma), had inherited from former Governor Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha.

The statement pointed out that Okorocha had also confirmed in the interview he granted, that in his quest to fight Uzodinma, he had sent his son In-law, Uche Nwosu, back to the Supreme Court to reclaim his imaginary mandate, while making claims, that Uche Nwosu won the March 9, 2019 governorship Election in Imo State instead of Uzodinma or Ihedioha.

Uzodinma pointed out that Uche Nwosu congratulated him, and called Uzodinma his leader, when the Supreme Court declared him the winner of the election and governor of Imo State but point out that, “this is all for peace go reign”.
