Hope Uzodinma have never won an election in his life, Okorocha insists
…claims Uche Nwosu won the Imo 2019 Governorship Election
Former Governor of Imo State, and Senator representing Orlu Zone, Senator Rochas Okorocha, has knocked Senator Hope Uzodinma again in a recent interview he granted Sun Newspapers.
Okorocha, while reacting to questions over Uche Nwosu’s defeat at the elections, insisted that Uche Nwosu won the election, but was removed by powers in Abuja, who were afraid of his political aspirations.
According to Okorocha, Uche Nwosu was winning the election, before Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha manufactured results from Mbaise, which was accepted, as a way to stop Uche Nwosu.
He stated that Uche Nwosu won, with Ihedioha coming second, while Uzodinma was a distant fourth behind Senator Ifeanyi Araraume.
Reacting to Uzodinma’s membership of the party before the election, Okorocha insisted that Uzodinma was a product of former All Progressives Congress National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole and Gulak, who Okorocha accused of manipulating the primaries.
Okorocha emphatically stated, that Hope Uzodinma has never won an election in his life (read the full interview).
Hope Uzodinma had appeared on live TV, to admit that he became the candidate of the APC, through what he termed “the Ben Johnson way”.
His candidacy of the party however, is still been contested, with Uche Nwosu now joining the suit against Uzodinma, basing their argument on an earlier judgement of the Supreme Court, that ruled that Uche Nwosu was the authentic candidate of both the APC and the AA in Imo State, during the 2019 General Elections.
