How Hope Uzodinma Dumped Araraume And Embraced His Political Enemies
It is no longer news, that the hurriedly formed political alliance, that comprised of Senators Rochas Okorocha, Hope Uzodinma, and Ifeanyi Araraume, have fallen apart, and all three men are presently engaged in legal and political combats.
Interestingly, in the case of Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, Uzodinma have chosen to embrace Araraume’ s worst political enemies, rather than align with the man, with whose support he became Governor in Imo State.

Top of the pile, and probably Araraume’ s biggest political enemy, is Dr. Ikedi Ohakim, the former governor of Imo State, who Araraume made his four years tenure, a nightmare for.
Both men are from the same Local government, and at a time, very good friends, with Araraume instrumental to Ohakim’ s emergence as a commissioner under Chief Evan Enwerem’ s regime.
Things fell apart, when Ohakim would be made governor of Imo State, instead of Araraume in 2007.
Araraume would unleash one of the biggest legal battles in Imo history against Ohakim, a matter which dragged for over two years, and almost distracted Ohakim from concentrating in his work to serve Imo people.
Araraume’ s numerous battles, and other factors, saw Ohakim out of power, and since then, both men had been bitter enemies, always coming up to be a stumbling block for each other.
Ohakim incidentally have had a long friendship with Uzodinma, and today, Uzodinma is tilting towards working with Ohakim, Araraume’ s sworn enemy, over Araraume, who helped him become governor.

Another enemy of Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, who is in close ties with Uzodinma, is the junior minister for education, Emeka Nwajiuba, who volunteered his personal aide, Frank Ibezim, as the instrument to be used to dismantle Araraume politically in Okigwe zone.
Chief Tony Chukwu, despite a beneficiary of Araraume’ s doggedness, that put Imo and Abia in the NDDC, have been a rather silent enemy to the Isiebu born politician, but interestingly, a close ally of Uzodinma, who conspired with Uzodinma to clip Araraume’ s wings in Okigwe zone.

Araraume is engaged in severe legal combat with Frank Ibezim, to determine the authentic candidate of the APC, in the Okigwe Senate By- election, but with each passing day, the chances of Araraume returning to the Senate grows dimmer.
