Okigwe Senate: Araraume Set To Disprove Ayodele’s Prophesy

With recent turn of events, in the favour of Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, the chances that he may disprove Primate Elijah Ayodele’ s Prophesy grows higher.

Recall that the General Overseer of the Inri Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, had prophesied that the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Chief Emmanuel Okweulonu, would emerge the winner of the Okigwe Senate By- election.

Events that followed after the Prophesy, such as the dual disqualification of the All Progressives Congress APC candidates, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume and Mr Frank Ibezim, on the eve of the by- election, started lending credence to the possibility of the Prophesy coming to pass.

However, with the recent vacation of the High Court ruling, stopping the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, from issuing Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, the Certificate of Returns, it seems the Isiebu born billionaire politician, may be coasting home to victory, as he has all but demolished Mr. Frank Ibezim legally.

With a Supreme Court ruling still pending, and which still looks to be swinging in Araraume’ s favour, the two time Senator, and former governorship candidate in the 2007, 2011 and 2019 governorship elections in Imo State may finally be stepping into the shoes left vacant by the demise of Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu, over a year ago.
The other legal battles he would be facing, after the final determination of the authentic candidate of the APC, would be at the tribunal with the candidates of the PDP, Chief Emmanuel Okweulonu, and the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA candidate, Charles Onyirimba.

Recall that after he defeated Frank Ibezim at an Abuja High Court, APGA got an injunction from Justice Agada of the Owerri High Court, stopping INEC from issuing Araraume with the Certificate of Return, but the order have now been vacated by the same judge that gave it, allowing Araraume to be sworn in as Okigwe zone’ s new Senator.

However, there are indications that the battle may not be over, as Senator Hope Uzodinma may still make further efforts to stop Araraume’ s return to the Senate impossible, as political analysts believe that Uzodinma may join forces with the PDP candidate Okweulonu to stop Araraume, should be be confirmed by the Supreme Court.

Okweulonu is arguing that Araraume and Ibezim were both disqualified on the eve of the election, and the APC didn’ t have a candidate on Election day. APGA, also arguing in that line, also insists that Araraume didn’ t formally resign from the party, and as such still their member, which doesn’ t qualify him to be the APC candidate.
