A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC in Imo State, Hon. Chima Osuji, have berated the Imo State Peoples Democratic Party PDP, and their media handlers, over the attacks against the Imo State governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, following the heavy rainfall in the state capital yesterday, which saw some parts of the state capital slightly waterlogged.
Speaking to Efizzy correspondent, Mercy Anaele, Hon. Osuji, a ward executive of the APC Aladinma Ward 2, labelled the PDP as irresponsible and insensitive to the situation in the state.
“The Imo State PDP,” Osuji stated. “And their media handlers have shown a high level of irresponsibility and insensitivity to the well-being of the people of Imo State, by celebrating the slight waterlogging that we experienced in the state capital yesterday.
“They were all over the social media celebrating that the people were suffering.
“That is very bad. Very childish of the PDP if you ask me. This is a party that was in power even though by default for eight months, and didn’t construct a single road. I have pictures of how Imo State was under Ihedioha, whenever it rained during the time of Ihedioha. The same people now celebrating the slight waterlogging we saw yesterday, were busy insulting anybody back then, who complained about the flooding we saw under Ihedioha.
“The pictures are all there. Go to Facebook. The internet does not forget. You’ll see it for yourself. This shows you that this people only care for power, and not for the good of the people. If they were in power, they will make excuses and insult anybody that speaks up. When they are not in power, they celebrate whenever anything seems to go wrong.
Yesterday’s rain was very heavy, but within two hours, the whole water vanished, thanks to the Ballon tunnel technology of Senator Hope Uzodinma.
“Come to Chukwuma Nwoha and see for yourself. The people are no longer experiencing what they saw under Rochas Okorocha and Ihedioha.
“All Ihedioha did was to build 27 mini stadiums across the state in the eight months he was there. The records are there. Check Facebook and you’ll see it everywhere. If you ask me, that was just a ploy used for embezzlement because I don’t understand what anybody with his right mind would be doing with 27 stadiums, when there were roads he should have started work on.
“Ihedioha have the excuse of rain. Uzodinma is not giving any excuse. Rain or Sun, he is working.
“The Ballon tunnel has been tested and so far we have been seeing the positive impact. There is still a lot of work to be done. Okorocha dedicated eight years in destroying Imo State and no right thinking and sensible person, would expect Senator Hope Uzodinma to correct everything within two years.
“One thing I like Senator Hope Uzodinma about, is that despite whatever they say, he has kept his eyes on the ball. He knows what he wants for his people, and despite everything the real enemies of Imo State are doing to distract him such as the UGM and all what not, he has remained focused in his resolve to give the people of Imo State, the best of governance.”
