The Executive Govenror of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma joined his wife, Barr. Mrs. Chioma Uzodinma, at the Heroes Square Owerri, for the Grand Finale of the 2021 August Meeting tagged: Nzuko umu nwanyi oma.
Uzodinma while speaking, emphasised on the role and importance of women in nation building, pledging to always support activities geared towards uplifting women in the state.
Speaking, Uzodinma stated, “Today is a special day in my heart seeing my wife perform this function in a manner so excellent to be emulated.
“The only thing I want to tell Imo women is that you’ve not seen anything yet.
“I believe in gender mainstreaming, I believe in equal opportunity for men and women, I believe in merit and I also believe that every woman and every man must be given opportunity to practice that which God endowed on him or her”
“Having re-committed Imo State to the hand of God, I want to assure you that by the grace of God, Imo State will never go back to the dumps anymore.
“We will continue to encourage our women – We will continue to support our women – We will continue to serve the good people of Imo State.
“I am happy that this occasion was organised by the efforts of volunteers and donors and the NGO that my wife is steering.
“I thank God that my wife never put me under pressure to commit government money for August meeting.”.
